Team coverage is a difficult and responsible duty for athletic trainers and physical therapist. A particular challenge is team coverage of a national team, which is build with temporary recruits for other teams. In this role multiple objectives have to be considered, not the least to direct load in training and performance in competition in parallel to the responsibilities the players have for their home teams. The article aims at delineating this task using a real-life example.
